Property Desktop Assessment
The desktop assessment or desktop review is a type of risk engineering assessment based on third-party information provided by the requester. The information is thus obtained without physically visiting the subject location. The desktop assessment includes the following steps:

Provision of third-party information by the requester. This information typically includes a risk assessment report issued by the risk engineer of the broker or another insurance company and information available in the public domain.

Research, analysis and review by the assigned risk engineer.

Preparation of report.

A Property Desktop Review (DTR) will be submitted within two weeks after the request. The standard report will contain the following sections:

Loss Estimate (EML or MFL)

Property Fire Grading

Property Business Interruption Grading

Natural Hazard Exposure (Earthquake/ Windstorm/ Flood/ Lightning)
